Safety and support

The club's intention is to provide vehicular support to pilot's out on the sandbank. Primarily we require a safety and support vehicle for regattas, but the same vehicles should be available for larger club meetings.

Tractor

The tractor is a slow vehicle, but with the trailer hooked on, it is capable of providing transportation for several passengers and/or equipment over rough terrain in a variety of conditions. It is also capable of assisting other vehicles that get stuck in the mud near the sea wall.

John Deere

An all-terrain vehicle, and the club's daily workhorse. This is a five wheel 'bike' having a single front wheel and four (driven) rear wheels. It has a useful load area which can be used to carry equipment to and from the sand bank.

Kawasaki Mule

The latest to join the club. This is a diesel-powered four-wheel-drive vehicle. Licenced and insured for road use, this vehicle is primarily used for regattas, and larger club meetings.

Please note: For safety and insurance reasons these vehicles can be operated only by club members who have been properly trained to use them. DO NOT use them if you have not had the proper training!
